Managing multiple subcontractors and SSOW Heavy civils experience essential SMSTS CSCS IOSH Managing Safely HSG47 First Aid Desirable Energy sector experience, sub station / HVDC The candidate will be from a background of Construction Manager / Site Manager / General Foreman or Works Superintendent

Main Purposes of Job
  1. This Leading role is to assist SE work by taking the lead role coordinating all supervisors, teams and work activities on behalf of the Senior site manager / project manager.
  2. Reports to Installation Manager or as required by deployment.
  3. Duty of care for themselves and all individuals on site to ensure that they work safely at all times.
Key Tasks
  1. Works to all applicable QEHS procedures as briefed in the site induction.
  2. Lead the teams assigned to all work fronts ensuring work is executed to Time, Quality & Cost. Carries out any other duties within their competence to the relevant quality / industry standards as directed by the Installation Manager.
  3. Operate within timescales set out by the site management and highlight potential deviations in advance including coordinating with other work parties to ensure efficient and safe working by all.
Key results / Objectives
  1. Lead by example by adhering to the site rules as briefed by them to all site team members.
  2. Comply with the Health and Safety, Environmental & Quality Plans and know their duties to be discharged in each case. Carrying out actions and assist in creating required documentation within the project milestone dates.
  3. Proactively participate in the completion of all task cards allocated to their team to the required timescale and comply with timesheet and expenses submission timescales.
Experience

Apprentice trained, C&G Minimum NVQ Level 3 (Appropriate Course) plus 3 years? experience as a supervisor. Or degree qualified with a minimum of 2 years? experience as a supervisor from graduation in an Electricity Supply Industry construction site or similar (Power Generation, Oil & Gas or General Construction Sites).

Experienced preferred in participating in site activities comprising of mechanical and electrical installation.

Comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental legislation / practice within a substation environment, for example, National Grid, SSE, SPEN etc.

Requires the presence and personal qualities necessary to effectively lead site teams and work within a team or individually as required.
