Job description

We are looking for an experiencedSite Manager with a strong background in the window and door industryto manage the installation of uPVC, aluminium, and composite windows and doors across residential and commercial projects.

The role is site-based and hands-on, requiring someone who understands thepractical realities of window and door installation, quality control, and site coordination. You will be responsible for ensuring installations are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Day-to-day management of window and door installation projects
  • Overseeing fitting teams and subcontract installers
  • Coordinating deliveries of windows, doors, frames, and associated materials
  • Ensuring installations meet specification, drawings, and survey details
  • Carrying out quality checks, snagging, and sign-off of completed works
  • Managing site health & safety, including RAMS and site inductions
  • Liaising with clients, residents, surveyors, and office teams
  • Resolving site issues such as access, defects, and remedial works
  • Completing site paperwork, progress reports, and handover documentation
Required Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience as aSite Manager, Supervisor, or Lead Installer within the window and door industry
  • Strong technical knowledge of window and door systems (uPVC, aluminium, composite)
  • Understanding of installation processes, tolerances, and finishing standards
  • Experience managing fitting teams and subcontractors
  • Good knowledge of site health & safety procedures
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple sites across Colchester and surrounding areas
Qualifications (Preferred)
  • SSSTS or SMSTS
  • CSCS Card
  • First Aid
  • Full UK Driving Licence
