Job description

An experienced Site Manager is required by a residential lead business based in South East London.

You will take responsibility for a RC Frame block of apartments (85 in total) and a further 14 Town Houses from sub structures through to fit out.

As Site Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Sub Structures
  • RC Frame, Brickwork
  • Brickwork façade
  • Bolt on balconies
  • waterproofing
  • cladding works
  • Residential fit out
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review all subcontract ITP’s to ensure they are robust and complete before any works commence
  • Manage, monitor and establish standards of quality on site for all installed works before, during and after the works
  • Ensure all materials being installed are correctly, as per detail and are compliant with British Standards, LABC and Building Control. Any defects raised are to be closed out within the allotted time frame
  • Monitor and report against the Contract Programme on a weekly basis. The Contract Programme is to be used to plan construction works as well as procurement of materials, design and subcontractors
  • Create and distribute 6 week short term programmes to site team and subcontractors. Monitor weekly and follow the necessary process for non-conformance from both team members and subcontractors
  • Host weekly subcontract meetings to monitor and record programme as well as Health & Safety and Quality. Any non-conformance is to be dealt with quickly and effectively to reduce the impact on the contract programme
  • Initiate and attend inspections by LABC, Building Control and any other necessary regulatory institutions
  • Attend all client meetings and actively be involved in all discussion. Any items raised are to be closed out and/or delegated to other team members
  • Attend client representative inspections and action any defects/queries raised
The candidate must have the following:
  • Construction related Degree
  • Appropriate CSCS card
  • SMSTS certificate
  • First Aid at Work certificate
  • Valid driving license
