A day in the life of a Murphy Site Engineer
- Checking Inspection Test Plans
- Checking setting out protocols of sub-contracted site engineers, review and agree a method to carry out consistently.
- Checking Installation on site is correct according to specifications.
- Assisting the Design Team with identifying setting out requirements on projects.
- Review the Design Information prior to works commencing.
- Checking that correct Quality Control is adhered to.
- Resolving technical problems at all levels.
- Ensuring activities are carried out in safe manner in accordance with the Project Safety Plan.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated, in date and suitable checked in accordance with company policies and the manufacturers' defined requirements.
- Ensure construction operations are carried out in accordance with the Contract requirements using the appropriate agreed procedures.
- Ensure all site personnel have clear, accurate and appropriate information to carry out their duties.
- Minimise environmental disturbance during construction works.
- Supervises the outputs and confirms that the project environmental requirements are met.
- Close liaison with the Project Team.
- Ensure that only the latest issue drawings and documents are being used.
- Assist the Site Management team to update KPI's, material reconciliation and progress reports.
Engineering Duties

Qualifications
- Engineering qualification from a reputable firm.
- IT Skills: Microsoft Office, Excel and Word proficiency.
- Ability to articulate engineering concepts verbally to stakeholders and in written communication.
- Previous experience as an engineer on a civil engineering project.
- Driver's license.
- Safety training IOSSH and/or SSSTS or SMSTS.
- Actively promote and embed EDI in all work and support organisational initiatives, policies and procedures.
- Expected to behave at all times in a manner consistent with the Murphy values of Safety, Leadership, Integrity and Respect.
- Relevant tickets for site-based work.
