Site Demand Manager: Lead Supply Chain Excellence in Cambridge!

Are you an experienced forecasting and people manager ready to drive efficiency and lead a team at a market-leading UK manufacturing business? We are seeking a Site Demand Manager to head up our forecasting and demand planning activities across our UK divisions.

This is a pivotal role that offers the opportunity to lead a small team, drive process improvement, and have a tangible impact on supply chain performance.

Role Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Lead and develop the Demand team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture. You must be an experienced people manager capable of developing a small team and influencing across divisions.

  • Forecasting Ownership: Take ownership of National Account forecasting while coordinating Key Accounts and Independent customer demand areas.

  • Process Improvement: Analyse forecast accuracy by customer, product category, and sub-category, implementing improvement plans where needed. Develop tools and processes to enhance forecasting, including EPOS insights and improved reporting to the sales team.

  • Project Leadership: Lead projects linked to forecasting and stock management, such as warehouse changes, excess stock management, and automation of forecasting processes.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, supply chain colleagues, and distribution sites to manage the flow of forecast and stock information.

Experience & Qualities

We are looking for a leader with strong influence across departments who is comfortable in fast-paced environments with changing priorities.

Required Experience & Knowledge
  • Solid supply chain experience in forecasting, production planning, buying, or inbound supply.

  • Experienced people manager.

  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems (D365 preferred) and Power BI.

  • Excellent Excel skills and commercial awareness.
