A well-respected educational institution in Bury Green seeks a Site Assistant responsible for providing site services, such as security, cleaning, and minor repairs. Candidates should be energetic and self-motivated, with effective communication skills and a commitment to maintaining safety and cleanliness. While experience in similar work is preferred, it is not essential. This full-time role includes a competitive salary and a supportive work environment focused on children's welfare.
H4/H5 (6-14) £25,989 - £29,540 pa plus £1,443 unsociable hours allowance Full-Time 37 hours per week (Fortnightly alternating shift pattern of 6.30am to 3pm/2.30pm and 10am/10.30am to 6.30pm during term-time)
We are looking for an energetic, hard-working, self‑motivated, flexible person to work within the Site Team providing effective and efficient site services including building security, cleaning, porterage, minor repairs and maintenance. Ideally, you will have either experience of similar premises work or relevant practical DIY skills, but these are not essential. The successful applicant must take pride in their work and be committed to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all users of the site. You need to be able to communicate in a friendly and effective manner and to support other staff members to ensure the best outcomes for the students at the school. Good team working is essential as well as the ability to work alone using your initiative.
Please note that safeguarding students of the school is a priority. All appointments to posts in the school are made through stringent adherence to the requirements of ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’. As there is a high degree of contact with children, an enhanced disclosure will be sought for this post through the Criminal Records Bureau as part of pre‑employment checks. All appointments also require satisfactory references.
