Site Agent – Station Upgrade West London

Salary: up to £57k + pkg
Location: West London
Regions: London, Middlesex

We are currently recruiting for a leading main contractor who operate within the Rail, Civil and Highways Sectors. Due to a recent project award, they are looking for a Site Agent to work on a new portfolio of Station Upgrades based in West London. Project valued at c£40m and due to last until 2020 / early 2021.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree Qualified in Civil Engineering
  • Progressed steadily from an Engineering background
  • Previously worked on major station upgrade projects
  • Chartered or Working towards Chartership
  • Experience of managing a team of on site staff (engineers, foreman, etc)

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Fulfilling the Agent’s responsibilities as laid down in the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • Ensuring that the contract is executed in accordance with the requirements of:
    • All applicable legislation
    • The Terms and Conditions of the Contract
    • The Contract Health and Safety Plan
    • The Work Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheets
    • The Contract Quality / Environmental Plan
    • The Policies and Procedures contained within the company Business Management System
  • Delivery of the contract within programme and budget. Liaison with site staff and managing surveyor to ensure tender allowances are not exceeded.
  • The promotion of a continuous improvement culture and the use of best practice.
  • The continuous monitoring of contract progress to ensure contract objectives are being met.
  • Ensuring that in conjunction with the site team changes to the contract are identified, agreed and effectively managed.
  • The provision of formal reports on contract progress to the Project Manager
  • Ensuring that all relevant issues which cannot be resolved at contract level are passed for the attention of the Project Manager
