A healthcare institution in Truro is offering a full-time role for a Sister or Charge nurse in the Acute Medical Unit. This position focuses on leadership and management within a high-energy environment that deals with a wide variety of patient needs. The ideal candidate should possess clinical leadership experience in acute medicine or emergency care and be currently registered with the NMC. We are hugely excited to present a new role for our Acute Medical Unit. The unit has been under a significant change process recently with the creation of our "medical rapid assessment and treatment area" allowing us to care for the "medical take" in the unit for the first time in years. AMU is a fast paced high energy ward, seeing large amounts of patients who are often undifferentiated in their care journey. We have created a new senior role for the unit of a Sister or Charge nurse who will run the shift (days and nights). Under the NIC will be 2 band 6's who will oversee the delivery and standards of care for each side of the unit.
