Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy in the UK seeks a proactive Signalling Project Engineer for a 12-month contract. You will ensure the successful delivery of engineering packages within rail signalling projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has CEM experience, possesses an IRSE Project Engineer Licence, and a valid driving licence. This position may also involve Assistant Project Engineer responsibilities on smaller projects.

Qualifications

  • Must have experience in the CEM role in multidisciplinary projects.
  • Hold a valid IRSE Project Engineer Licence.
  • Be knowledgeable about safe working on the railway and Network Rail standards.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of engineering packages in rail signalling projects.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • May take on Assistant Project Engineer responsibilities for smaller projects.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive Signalling Project Engineer to support the successful delivery of engineering packages within our rail signalling projects. You will play a key role in ensuring technical excellence, on-time delivery, and compliance with safety and quality standards. This role also provides the opportunity to take on Assistant Project Engineer responsibilities on smaller projects.

Key Requirements
  • Applicants MUST have undertaken the CEM role in multidisciplinary projects.
  • Applicants MUST hold a fully licensed IRSE Project Engineer Licence of at least 7.8.110F.
  • Appreciation of Design, Construction, Testing and Possession Planning.
  • Maintain an updated IRSE Logbook.
  • Hold an IRSE Assistant Designer / Test Licence.
  • Valid ATW and SWL/COSS competencies.
  • Knowledge or experience of safe working on the railway.
  • Awareness of Network Rail standards and design approvals processes.
  • Full UK driving licence (or currently obtaining one).
