Short Term Live-in Housekeeper Job in Fulmer, South Buckinghamshire

A lovely client of Greycoat Lumleys is looking for an experienced Housekeeper to look after their property on temporary basis. They have 3 adult children and two young grandchildren who live separately but visit on occasion. They reside with their two German Shepherd dogs. When the client is not in residence, you will be required to house and pet sit. The household is informally run with the exception of when they entertain and have some formal friends over.

The ideal candidate will be switched on, energetic, fit, and proactive with the ability to undertake tasks without supervision.

The candidate will have a good standard of written English, be a non-smoker, and will be pet friendly. The house is located on beautiful grounds and would suit someone who enjoys the countryside.

Must have an enhanced DBS.

Duties to include:

• All household cleaning duties to include bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas, as well as unused rooms on a regular basis. Cleaning inside windows when time allows.
• Maintaining good hygiene practices in the kitchen. Awareness of stock control and checking foods for sell‑by dates. Cleaning the oven regularly.
• Laundry, washing, and ironing.
• Cooking (healthy, family meals normally one main meal a day)
• Food shopping
• Administration - dealing with household maintenance, reporting problems, following up, and chasing snagging issues.
• Feeding, grooming, and walking a German shepherd dog. Making sure that all the water dishes have lots of water. Collecting dog mess if seen.
• Watering indoor plants.
• Balancing duties and workload dependent on priorities.
• Checking post twice a day for mail and Amazon deliveries (2 pm & 4 pm) and more often if there has been a delivery into the post box.

Driving is essential and a car will be provided for work purposes (automatic).

Partners and dogs cannot be accommodated.

House: Large 3 stories, 6 bedrooms house with indoor swimming pool, gym, and external office

Accommodation: Newly built self‑contained one‑bedroom annex with full kitchen and living/TV area. Fully furnished with its own entrance. All utility bills are included.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 6/6:30pm with flexibility around the household priorities. Occasional weekend work with time off in lieu of a mutually agreeable time/date.

Salary: £18 - £20 gross per hour ( possibility to be on Greycoat Lumleys payroll).

Start: As soon as the right candidate is found for up to 6 months.
