A local hospice organization is seeking a Shop Supervisor for its South Elmsall shop. This role involves supporting the Shop Manager with daily operations, driving sales, and leading a team of dedicated volunteers. The ideal candidate will have retail experience and strong customer service skills, along with the ability to manage stock and training for volunteers. To maximise profit to support the operation of the Hospice and to ensure that opportunities are taken to promote awareness of the Hospice cause and philosophy.
To deputise for the Shop Manager and to assist the Shop Manager to maximise income from sales, control direct shop expenses, motivate the shop team, and ensure compliance with all Hospice retail procedures and relevant legislation.
As Shop Supervisor, you’ll support the Shop Manager in running the day-to-day operations of the South Elmsall shop. You’ll be key in driving sales, delivering excellent customer service, and leading a team of dedicated volunteers. When deputising for the Shop Manager, you’ll confidently take charge to ensure the shop runs smoothly and profitably.
At The Prince of Wales Hospice, we provide specialist palliative care in a supportive and respectful environment. Our 14-bed inpatient unit, located just minutes from Junction 32 of the M62 in Pontefract, also offers outpatient and community services, including a successful Lymphoedema clinic.
Location: The Prince of Wales Hospice Clothing Store – South Elmsall
Hours: 15 hours per week (including some weekend working)
