Job description
Overview

The role: Shop Cover Manager (internally known as Divisional Support Lead) supporting Scope shops in the London area. Permanent, 35 hours per week. Includes a £1,750 allowance and a £5,000 car allowance.

Location: Supporting Scope shops based in the London area. It is essential that you can travel within this geographical area. The shops include Acton, Basildon, Bexleyheath, Camberwell, Camden, Clapham Junction, Dartford, Fulham, Ruislip, Surbiton, Tolworth, Walthamstow and Woolwich.

This is an exciting role working closely with shop teams to enable trading when there is absence and to maintain and improve day-to-day running to maximise sales and profit.

Responsibilities
  • Provide cover for Scope shops in the London area to ensure trading continues when a shop is absent.
  • Support day-to-day shop operations and contribute to driving sales and profitability.
  • Engage in stock generation and processing, window displays, and other retail activities as needed.
  • Recruit and train volunteers to support shop operations where required.
  • Collaborate with shop teams to deliver a high-quality colleague and customer experience.
About you

As Divisional Support Lead you should be passionate about retail and have a love of fashion, with experience of running a shop, or you will be seeking a management role as the next step in your career and be comfortable working closely with various shop teams.

  • Have a commercial, can-do attitude and always put the customer’s needs first.
  • Be a dedicated team player able to work with different retail shop teams and volunteers.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and great attention to detail with a creative eye for displays.
  • Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.

Shop hours

Scope Charity Shops are open every day, so some weekend and Bank Holiday cover is required. Our full-time hours are 35 per week, five days out of seven. Part-time hours are on a seven-day rota.
