Qualifications

  • Proven experience in structural steel repair and fabrication.
  • Skilled in using fabrication tools and workshop machinery.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience in marine engineering or similar sectors.
  • Strong understanding of safety and quality standards in heavy engineering.
  • Indentured Apprenticeship or Level 2 qualification in fabrication.

Responsibilities

  • Perform structural repairs to steel hulls and decks.
  • Fabricate and assemble plate and steelwork.
  • Translate engineering documents into fabrication plans.
  • Cutting, shaping and assembling steel plates.
  • Installing and joining plate and structural materials.
