Overview

Brightwork are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, Graham’s Family Dairy, for a Shift Manager. This is a full-time, permanent position based at the company’s Cowdenbeath site.

This is a critical role within the business, where you will support the Production Manager while leading a team of operators to ensure the smooth and efficient running of production.

The role operates on a 5 days over 7 rotation, covering both day shifts (6am–2.30pm) and back shifts (2pm–10.30pm).

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily factory operations to ensure smooth, safe, and efficient production.
  • Monitor and maintain production standards, addressing issues and driving continuous improvement.
  • Plan ahead to anticipate challenges, providing effective solutions to meet timelines and cost targets.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop staff, ensuring training, performance management, and well-being.
  • Uphold product quality, good manufacturing practices, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
  • Analyse performance data to identify opportunities for efficiency, waste reduction, and cost savings.
  • Support audits, customer visits, and business changes to ensure high standards are consistently met.
  • Other duties deemed relevant to role.
