M&E Shift Leader - Days only - FM Service Provider - Iconic Building - London (City) - Up to £55,000

Are you a Shift Leader looking for a new challenge or are you a shift tech looking for that next step? Would you like to work on an iconic site in London? If so please read on... One of the leading maintenance contractors in London is currently recruiting for an M&E Shift Leader to work on a prestigious contract in the City close to Fenchurch Street.

You will provide an exceptional high standard of building services provision (planned and reactive) within a commercial, occupied environment and with the utmost regard for customer service.

The successful candidate will be Electrically or Mechanically qualified with a proven track record in commercial building maintenance and will be responsible for undertaking planned and reactive maintenance works to Electrical, HVAC plant and associated equipment.

  • Continental shift - Days only
  • 07:00am to 19:00pm
Key duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance & Reactive maintenance is carried out to all client assets through operation of Planned Preventative Maintenance System.
  • Manage the shift team.
  • Deal with hands‑on work when needed.
  • Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly corrected to maintain the plant in serviceable order at all times.
  • Carry out routine quality checks on workforce activities, record keeping and general housekeeping.
  • Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
  • Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are completed in the form of job sheets.
  • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, reviewed and utilised for all tasks (PPM and reactive) carried out to ensure safe working practices.
Requirements
  • Fully electrically or mechanically qualified to City & Guilds or recognised standard.
  • City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition IEE Regulations.
  • To be conversant with electrical plant related building services PPM's carried out in‑line with SFG20 and resulting reactive work.
  • Requirement to complete critical environment training, and to carry out scenario training as per schedule, guide and train shift team on SOP's/EOP's etc.
  • Experience with LV switchgear, HV generation and control systems (Desirable / Not essential).
  • HV & LV Authorised Person (Desirable / Not essential).
