Job summary

A prominent property development company in Greater London is seeking a Shift Engineer to manage maintenance tasks at their sites. The ideal candidate will have NVQ/C&G Level 3 in a trade, excellent communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues. Job description

We're now recruiting for a Shift Engineer to join us at two neighbouring developments, Pan Peninsula and Wardian!

What you should know

Ballymore is a family owned business, with over 40 years in establishment – we are remarked as an innovative and dynamic property developer citing over 80 awards. At present, we're managing 11,000 homes across 10 luxury residential developments in London and are in search of a Shift Engineer to join us at Pan Peninsula and Wardian in contributing to our vision. This is a fantastic opportunity for a property service enthusiast to progress their career in either customer service, facilities or operational‑based roles.

Important to note
  • Hours: 7 : 00 – 19 : 00 / Days
  • Shift Pattern: 4 on - 4 off
  • Location: E14, Canary Wharf
  • Salary per annum: £42,000pa.
  • Contract: 42 hpw / permanent
What you’ll do
  • To identify and diagnose faults and carry out remedials, adjustments and other maintenance works accordingly.
  • Perform required routine servicing, repair or adjustment of plant or machinery in accordance with the planned maintenance schedule.
  • Have a flexible approach in respect of other skills or contractors to ensure the most cost‑effective outcome.
  • To carry out other skilled tasks in which competence has been clearly demonstrated.
  • To monitor plant and to record data using the supplied systems.
  • To achieve the highest standard of plant and equipment efficiency by making sure that all tasks are carried out in accordance with the set instructions.
  • To keep all service areas, plant rooms, storage cupboards and workspaces well maintained and tidy.
  • To be thoroughly familiar and comply with the Company's "Health & Safety" policy and procedures.
  • To carry out other reasonable duties as requested by the Facilities Manager.
  • Ensure all paperwork in relation to accident, first aid and incident reporting is completed correctly by the in‑house team and pass all the relevant paperwork to Facilities Manager.
  • Ensure that risk assessments and SOPs are in place and updated in accordance with legislation / best practice.
  • Regularly review relevant reporting procedures and where required provide to the Support Office.
  • Ensure that in‑house and external service providers are compliant and working within the estate and corporate H&S frameworks.
  • Have a key involvement in disaster recovery, emergency response and contingency planning.
  • Ensure that all records are held securely and in compliance with GDPR.
  • Direct the on‑site team (in conjunction with the FM) to ensure they create, organise, and maintain records and administration systems in respect of site activities in an efficient manner.
  • Attend meetings where required with Facilities Management team.
