Shift Engineer

We're recruiting for a Shift Engineer to join a leading Building Services provider at Gatwick Airport. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Shift Engineer looking for a rare day‑shift only position at a high‑profile and unique site.

You will support the maintenance and smooth running of a major airline's offices, engineering areas, and aircraft hangars. The Shift Engineer will play a key role in ensuring all building services and critical systems remain safe, compliant, and operational.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPMs) across electrical and mechanical systems
  • Respond to reactive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and disruption
  • Fault‑finding and diagnostics on a range of building services plant
  • Support the operation and upkeep of systems such as:
    • AHUs and FCUs
    • Boilers and heating plant
    • Chillers and cooling systems
    • Pumps, motors, and valves
    • HVAC controls and BMS systems
    • Lighting, small power, and general electrical distribution
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and statutory requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation, logs, and maintenance records

Work closely with the on-site engineering team to deliver a high‑quality service.
