Shift Engineer – Paddington – £50,000 – £52,000

A leading facilities management provider is seeking a Shift Engineer to support operations at a high-profile commercial building in Paddington.

This role is well suited to a proactive building services engineer with strong technical knowledge and experience working within large commercial environments, delivering safe, efficient, and reliable building operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, maintain, and monitor mechanical and electrical building services
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
  • Respond to faults, alarms, and building issues in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and site procedures
  • Support daily building operations and tenant requirements
  • Liaise with specialist subcontractors and service partners
  • Complete accurate maintenance records, reports, and shift handovers
  • Assist with emergency response procedures

Requirements:

  • Experience working within a commercial building or corporate environment
  • Electrical or mechanical engineering background
  • Good working knowledge of HVAC, pumps, AHUs, lighting, and power systems
  • Relevant engineering qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
  • Comfortable working on a shift pattern
  • Strong fault-finding and communication skills
