Job Description

Stridden Ltd are recruiting on behalf of a leading multi-disciplinary civil and structural contractor - covering demolition, groundworks, bulk excavation, construction, RC frames, and engineering - who are seeking an experienced SHEQ Senior Manager / Director to lead their Safety, Health, Environment and Quality functions. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive, strategic leader to drive compliance, culture and continuous improvement across their projects.

SHEQ Senior Manager / Director Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's SHEQ strategy and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality legislation and standards.
  • Lead audits, risk assessments, and inspections across all projects.
  • Champion a culture of safety and quality, ensuring engagement at all levels of the organisation.
  • Manage and mentor the SHEQ team, promoting professional development.
  • Collaborate with project and operational teams to ensure SHEQ considerations are integrated into all business activities.
SHEQ Senior Manager / Director Essential Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior or director level SHEQ role within construction, civil engineering and RC Frames sector.
  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards and legislation.
  • Experience in developing and implementing SHEQ strategies and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Relevant professional qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISO standards) are highly desirable.
