Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, and process safety improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with SHEQ legislation and emergency plans.
  • Manage contractor safety, site inductions, and incident investigations.
  • Oversee occupational health and environmental performance.
  • Maintain quality control and manage SHEQ systems.

What will you do? Make an impact!

The main purpose of the role is to advise, guide and lead the Scotoil site with their functions on all aspects of Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality issues. To ensure the site operates safely and effectively in line with current Tradebe / Scotoil policies and procedures and to ensure the ongoing effectiveness and suitability of these management systems.

In addition to the above you will be tasked with the following :

  • Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, and process safety improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with SHEQ legislation, emergency plans, and regulatory bodies.
  • Manage contractor safety, site inductions, and incident investigations.
  • Oversee occupational health, chemical exposure (COSHH), and radiological monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental permits and manage site environmental performance.
  • Maintain quality control, lead audits, and resolve customer complaints.
  • Manage SHEQ systems, accreditations (ISO), audits, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure waste management compliance and conduct Duty of Care audits.

In order to be successful in this role you will need :
  • Strong computer literacy (MS Office) and a full UK driver's licence
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Solid understanding of HSE legislation, standards, and guidance
  • Familiarity with Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental Management Systems
  • Knowledge of Radioactive Substances regulations and hazardous waste management

  • Technical expertise in safety or environmental disciplines
