Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in Health and Safety including NVQ 4 or equivalent.
  • Experience with compliance on electrical installations is required.
  • Membership in the Institute of Occupational Safety & Health is a plus.
  • Good understanding of SHEQ management systems and processes.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels and present to senior management.
  • Excellent IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft products.
  • Full driving licence is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Support and assess your region for legal compliance.
  • Encourage continual improvement through support and investigation.
  • Develop relationships with stakeholders and customers.
  • Guide the business in maintaining external accreditations.
  • Lead and report on internal and external audits.
  • Conduct Fire Risk Assessments and Asbestos Surveys.

About The Role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a National Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager at Sunbelt Rentals UK. You’ll be responsible for the support the development of our Environment, Health and Safety culture in the Power Team.

This is a national role so a full driving licence will be required to apply.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and asses your region, ensuring we remain legally compliant
  • Encourage continual improvement by proactive support as well as thorough investigation following accidents and incidents
  • Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and customers offering proactive support and guidance
  • Give guidance and support to the business in maintaining external accreditations
  • Lead and report on scheduled internal and external customer audits and observational reports
  • Undertake Fire Risk Assessments, Asbestos Surveys & Tank / Oil Storage Surveys

The Ideal candidate will have the following

  • The ability to communicate at all levels including presentations to senior management
