Job summary

A community-based support organization in the City of London seeks a dedicated support service manager to serve as the first point of contact for residents. You will manage the daily operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, safety, and security while supporting vulnerable adults in maintaining their independence. The ideal candidate has at least two years of relevant experience and a deep understanding of housing and related benefits.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with vulnerable adults.
  • Experience of carrying out needs & risk assessments and support planning.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and reporting procedures.

Overview

To provide a responsive housing related support service for the residents of The Finchley Charities that enables them to sustain independent living within their local community. This role will require the individual to be the first point of contact for The Finchley Charities and work proactively with residents, family members, colleagues, key partners and stakeholders to deliver effective support services. The purpose of the role is to manage the day to day running of the scheme, overseeing the maintenance of the buildings ensuring a high standard of cleanliness, safety and security.

  • Manage the day to day running of the scheme, overseeing the maintenance of the buildings to ensure a high standard of cleanliness, safety and security.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working with vulnerable adults gained either from working in a property-based service or with homeless people, alcohol and drug misuse, mental health and physical disability or other support services.
  • Experience of carrying out needs & risk assessments and support planning.
  • Experience of working with voluntary and statutory agencies to support customers to maintain their independence and to access housing and other benefits to which they may be entitled.
  • Knowledge of housing and related benefits that support independent living, with knowledge of intensive housing management services.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and reporting procedures.
  • Broad understanding of housing and regulatory frameworks and other relevant legislation.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages e.g. Word, Excel and Outlook, and ability to use a database.
