Sheet Metal Worker / CNC Press Brake Operator & Fabricator — Fantastic opportunity to join a skilled aerospace fabrication team, working with sheet metal, welding, and CNC press brake machinery. Ideal for someone with proven experience in fabrication, metal forming, and precision engineering.

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working hours: Day shifts with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends when required

Responsibilities

Your duties as the Sheet Metal Worker / CNC Press Brake Operator & Fabricator include:

• CNC Press Brake Operation: Programming, setting and operating Amada and LVD CNC press brake machinery
• Sheet Metal Fabrication: Producing precision aerospace components to AS9001 standards
• Welding and Finishing: Carrying out welding, deburring, polishing and surface finishing tasks
• Technical Interpretation: Reading and working from detailed 2D aerospace drawings
• Tool Use: Operating hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Component Forming: Forming and profiling metal and composite parts to specification
• Drilling and Countersinking: Producing precision holes and fixing points for aerospace assemblies
• Quality Control: Ensuring all parts are manufactured to required standards and tolerances

Qualifications

• Qualified Background: NVQ qualified or time-served in sheet metal or fabrication
• Proven Expertise: Previous experience in CNC press brake programming, setting and operation
• Fabrication Skills: Proven experience of welding and aerospace component fabrication
• Technical Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Aerospace Standards: Familiar with tight tolerances and quality requirements
• Detail Focus: Excellent attention to detail with a quality-driven mindset
