Shaw Contract Commercial Account Manager - London N, NW

Position Overview

Shaw Contract is a global design leader in commercial flooring for some of the world’s most creative and innovative environments. Our vast, sustainable product offerings can be found in diverse markets such as workplace, healthcare, hospitality, education, and multi-family dwellings; supporting the spaces in which we work, learn, live, play, and heal.

Your role is that of Account Manager. In this role, you will report directly to the Regional Vice President for the UK and Ireland, with additional responsibilities to the VP International Sales.

Essential Duties:

  1. Set the goals and objectives of the agreed customer base and Territory. Measure progress and implement necessary changes. Adhere to Corporate policy.
  2. Travel within the assigned Territory to meet with customers and assess business opportunities and conditions.
  3. Develop customer relations through regular contact with customers and prompt courteous responses to all inquiries via phone, email, or letter.
  4. Full understanding of product lines and the application that each product serves.
  5. Monitor sales performance and assist customers in promoting sales.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Communicate competitive conditions and programmes.
  8. Entertain clients as needed with lunches, dinners, or industry events.
  9. Analyze and control expenditure to conform to budgetary requirements.
  10. Dependable, self-motivated, and maintain a good attendance record.

Other Requirements:

  1. Must have a valid Driving License.
  2. Must have a valid passport.
  3. Maintain a professional dress code.
  4. Living in or familiar with London N, NW.

Equipment and Materials Utilized:

Must be able to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to a personal computer, tablet, and mobile phone.

Experience:

3-5 years commercial interiors experience required.

Safety and Security Requirements:

  1. Be aware of and abide by the laws of the United Kingdom and any other countries visited on company business.
  2. Use caution when lifting samples to prevent pulling/straining a back muscle.
  3. Use all equipment as directed by the manufacturer.
  4. Abide by all Corporate Safety Rules & Regulations.
