Overview

Job Title: Sessional Lecturer HE Psychology - Higher Education

Location: Norfolk House Campus

Contract Type: Part time, total 24 hours in the first instance until August 2026.

Salary: £40.13 per hour including holiday pay

The Role:

We are looking for a sessional lecturer to join the School of Higher Education. We are looking for a candidate to teach within our Social Sciences undergraduate degree provision. The candidate must have knowledge and experience of teaching a social sciences related subject at undergraduate level, specifically research skills and data analysis.

We currently have one module available for total of 24 hours (3 hours per week) and require the candidate to have knowledge of qualitative data analysis.

Responsibilities
  • Design, prepare and deliver teaching material appropriate for undergraduate level
  • Assessment and marking of students work
  • Delivery high quality teaching and learning to undergraduate students
  • Work collaboratively with the course team and wider support teams to ensure that HE learners are well supported
Skills / Experience Required
  • A degree in relevant subject area
  • A recognised teaching qualification is desirable
  • Experience of teaching undergraduate learners
  • Curriculum and module development experience
