About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join an experienced team at Heathrow Airport. In this key position, you will be responsible for ensuring all on‑site equipment is installed safely, correctly, and is always fully operational, with the role offering clear career progression and structured training toward becoming a Commissioning Engineer.

Please note, this is a Night shift role with a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, commission, and maintain mechanical and electrical equipment across the Heathrow site
  • Conduct thorough testing and inspection of equipment to ensure full functionality and compliance
  • Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime
  • Work closely with operational teams and contractors to support safe and efficient site operations
  • Maintain accurate service records and documentation
  • Ensure all work meets safety regulations, technical standards, and Heathrow compliance requirements
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar service engineering role
  • Time-served Mechanical and Electrical experience
  • Strong technical knowledge with hands‑on problem‑solving capability
  • Electrical qualification (essential)
  • Experience testing equipment on site
  • Knowledge of Heathrow Airport operations (advantageous)
  • Able to provide a 5 checkable history to obtain a pass.
  • Full UK Driving License
  • Ability to work independently, safely, and to a high standard
