Job Title: Service Manager
Location: Manchester, Greater Manchester
Salary – 32k – 45k + Bonus Schemes and Company Vehicle.

Leading Clean Air company are currently recruiting in the North West for a service manager to join their established department. The successful candidate will be overseeing a portfolio of pharmaceutical and healthcare customers across the UK, providing a high standard of customer service to ensure the continued success of the department. Candidates will hold a strong technical knowledge of microbiological safety cabinets and contained air products, gained from experience working within a site based service engineer role and will be able to demonstrate extensive experience within a supervisory / management position.

Applications will be considered from across the North West including; Manchester, Stockport, Stretford, Macclesfield, Crewe, Northwich, Widnes, Warrington, St Helens, Leigh, Liverpool, Ormskirk, Southport, Chorley, Preston, Blackburn, Bolton, Bury, Rochdale, Oldham, Huddersfield, Halifax, Leeds, Bradford and surrounding areas.

Experience / Qualifications
  • Strong technical knowledge of the LEV / Clean air industry.
  • Current experience working at management / supervisor level within a clean air company.
  • Previous on-site experience, ideally within a service engineer position.
  • A management qualification (desirable not essential)
  • Strong organisational and customer service skills.
  • IT literate.
  • Able to communicate effectively.
Duties
  • Day to day running of the service department, managing a team of office and site based; overseeing recruitment, staff training / development and disciplinary procedures.
  • Forecasting service departments annual staffing and budgeting requirements.
  • Using leadership and management skills to ensure the department are hitting / exceeding set KPIs.
  • Streamlining procedures to enable efficiency, optimal resource utilisation and profitability
  • Effectively identify and resolve service delivery issues to maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Manage and analyse warranty claims and evaluate internal and customer feedback to highlight areas for improvement.
  • Achieving sales targets through the identification of both new business opportunities, as well as aftersales opportunities for parts and continued service contracts to achieve sales targets.
  • Managing new tenders including negotiation of pricing, deliverables, KPIs and SLAs with suppliers, customers and third parties.
  • Continuously promoting cross-department collaborative teamwork to promote a strong company culture.
  • Providing high quality customer service to customers to ensure customer retention.
  • Leading review meetings with key customers to review service levels, obtain feedback, follow-up actions, and proactively manage existing and future services
  • Recruit, employ and train diverse high-calibre office and engineering personnel
