Overview

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Service Lead (Systemic & Workforce) within the Children's Service to work full time based in Wandsworth.

The salary for this permanent Service Lead job is up to £80,874 per annum.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for the service based on a clear vision for the service, with clarity of standards and outcomes to be achieved.
  • Hold responsibility for development, planning and delivery of a systemic service and the embedding of systemic ideas and practices into all aspects of Children's Social Care.
  • Work closely with the Quality Assurance Service Lead to close the loop between quality assurance and practice improvement.
  • Ensure services are rigorously evaluated in terms of quality and outcomes and continuously improve, responding to children and young people's needs.
  • Coordinate workforce development activities, including workforce recruitment and retention.
  • Ensure the service meets both national and local performance and quality indicators in an effective and timely way.
  • Monitor safeguarding responsibilities, performance, and training of staff.
  • Undertake training including child protection training and participate in meetings, supervision, seminars and other events designated to improve communication and assist with the development of the post and post holder.
  • Plan and manage programmes of change and projects designed to improve service outcomes.
  • Promote quality, diversity and inclusion, maintaining awareness of the quality and diversity protocol/policy and working to create and maintain a safe, supportive and welcoming environment where all people are treated with dignity and their identity and culture are valued and respected.
  • The profile is not exhaustive; other reasonable duties commensurate with the level of the post, including supporting emergency and priority situations, may form part of the role.
Requirements

  • Have a good working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
