Position: Service Engineer

Location: Hertfordshire

Our client, a long-established and respected agricultural family business, is expanding its team and is looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join them.

If you come from an agricultural machinery maintenance background , this role offers long-term stability, variety and the chance to work with a mix of agricultural, commercial and construction vehicles. You’ll split your time between the workshop and visiting customer sites, working both independently and as part of a supportive engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and maintain agricultural machinery to manufacturer specifications, ensuring reliability and safety.
• Deliver accurate defect reporting and identify opportunities to promote additional services when appropriate.
• Diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, powertrain and other mechanical faults.
• Use diagnostic software via laptop (full training provided).
• Produce detailed job reports with supporting photos and documentation of all worked hours.

• Salary up to £46,000 OTE , paid hourly with overtime opportunities.
• Monday–Friday , 39-hour week with a daily 30-minute lunch break, plus occasional weekend work.
