Job summary

A national M&E service provider is seeking a Service Engineer to provide maintenance for commercial air conditioning systems and chillers. The role requires hands-on experience with HVAC systems, F-Gas certification, and strong fault-finding skills. Overview

Position: Service Engineer - Commercial Air Conditioning & Chillers

Company: Large national M&E provider with a national team of AC / HVAC / Chiller / Refrigeration Service Engineers

Location: East Midlands

Responsibilities
  • Provide service and maintenance for commercial HVAC systems, focusing on planned preventive maintenance contracts and emergency fault finding and fixes on large commercial VRF/VRV air conditioning systems and chillers from major manufacturers.
  • Operate within the South East commercial contracts as part of the dedicated Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Service Team (note: location stated as East Midlands; align responsibilities accordingly with contract coverage).
Experience & Qualifications
  • Extensive hands-on experience servicing HVAC systems, with strong fault finding and fault resolution capabilities.
  • F-Gas 2079, hydrocarbons, refrigeration and air conditioning qualifications/certifications; manufacturer training an advantage.
  • NVQ level 2 or level 3 (preferred); however, candidates who have progressed through the tools as an apprentice are encouraged to apply.
  • Great teamwork and client-facing communication skills; ability to collaborate with internal regional teams to service contracts and respond to call outs effectively.

Package
  • Initial remuneration package: £45,000 to £52,000 per year for 40 hours per week.
