Service Engineer - Mechanical & Electrical | International Field Support

Location: West Midlands (50% site-based, 50% overseas travel)

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: ASAP

An exciting opportunity for a Service Engineer to join a specialist engineering company working at the forefront of hazardous materials management. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role supporting complex, high-integrity systems used in critical sectors such as defence, civil nuclear, emergency response, and energy.

With a 50/50 split between workshop-based work in the West Midlands and international travel, you'll play a vital role in ensuring systems are deployed, maintained, and operated to the highest standards.

Responsibilities
  • Commission and maintain systems at HQ and at customer sites
  • Deliver on-site technical support and problem-solving
  • Represent the business with professionalism and technical clarity
  • Communicate effectively with customers and technical teams
  • Feed back insights from the field to improve systems and processes
  • Support internal build activities and learn core machining skills
Qualifications / About You
  • Solid mechanical and electrical engineering background
  • Understanding of (or willingness to learn) pneumatic systems
  • Experience in technical, customer-facing roles
  • Calm, methodical approach to troubleshooting and fieldwork
  • Ability to work independently and travel frequently, including overseas
  • UK citizenship
  • Full UK driving licence and valid passport
