Responsibilities

  • Manage the full service charge process and act as the main point of contact for all service charge matters.
  • Lead on annual service charge budgeting and review monthly actuals throughout the year.
  • Produce accurate estimates and year end statements, ensuring income streams are correctly reported.
  • Oversee service charge reconciliations and manage sinking funds.
  • Handle stage one customer complaints and provide a responsive and supportive service.
  • Review and process service charge data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support internal and external audit activity and contribute to process improvements.
  • Work closely with colleagues to resolve queries and provide clear financial advice.
  • Provide day to day oversight of service charge activities.

Service Charge Finance Lead Hertfordshire, hybrid working pattern, £40-45k

This is a great opportunity to play a central role in managing service charge activity for a large and varied property portfolio. You will take ownership of the full service charge cycle, from annual budget setting through to reconciliations and customer queries, while ensuring a smooth and compliant process that supports both residents and internal teams. This position suits someone with strong technical skills, confidence managing timetables, and experience overseeing service charge processes in a housing or property environment.

What you will do
  • Manage the full service charge process and act as the main point of contact for all service charge matters across the organisation
  • Lead on annual service charge budgeting and review monthly actuals throughout the year
