About the Role

We’re looking for a passionate and experienced SEO Specialist to drive organic growth for Hillarys.co.uk and Hillarys.ie. You’ll play a key role in shaping and executing our SEO strategy across two leading home interiors brands, collaborating with content, PR, and development teams to deliver measurable results that enhance visibility, traffic, and conversions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead SEO Strategy: Develop and execute data-driven SEO strategies to achieve measurable organic growth across all key product areas.
  • Collaboration: Partner with developers, content creators, and external agencies to implement technical and on‑page SEO improvements.
  • Website Migrations: Plan and manage SEO aspects of site migrations, ensuring minimal disruption to rankings and visibility.
  • On‑Page Excellence: Optimise metadata, headings, structured data, and other on‑page elements to maintain a best‑in‑class standard.
  • Content Quality: Monitor and guide content creation to ensure it’s user‑focused, intent‑driven, and aligns with SEO best practices.
  • Algorithm Awareness: Stay ahead of Google’s core updates and evolving SEO trends to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Performance Reporting: Track, analyse, and report on SEO KPIs weekly – translating data into clear, actionable insights for wider teams.
  • Digital PR Collaboration: Work closely with the digital PR team and agencies to build high‑quality backlinks and support off‑page SEO growth.
About You

You’ll bring deep SEO expertise, strong analytical skills, and a passion for continuous learning. You thrive on solving problems, driving measurable impact, and collaborating across teams.

  • At least 4 years’ proven SEO experience, ideally on large‑scale or high‑traffic websites.
  • A strong technical SEO foundation, including crawlability, indexation, and site performance.
  • The ability to analyse and interpret data from multiple sources to drive insight‑led decisions.
  • Exceptional communication skills – able to explain complex SEO concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
  • A commercial mindset, with a focus on delivering results that impact revenue and growth.
  • Hands‑on experience with GA4, Search Console, Screaming Frog, and Ahrefs/SEMrush.
  • A proactive, detail‑oriented, and collaborative approach to your work.
What We Offer
  • Generous colleague discounts for you, your family, and friends.
  • Healthcare and lifestyle benefits package.
  • A variety of wellbeing initiatives.
  • A supportive, inclusive workplace and fantastic office environment.

Location: Hybrid: 3 days in our Nottingham office, 2 days from home.

Experience: Minimum 4 years of hands‑on SEO experience.

We understand there’s no one‑size‑fits‑all approach. We’re proud to offer an inclusive workplace where every colleague feels valued, supported, and empowered to be their true self. If you require any reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process, please let us know and we’ll be happy to accommodate.
