Job description



Bauer Media's Social Video Hub is looking for a Senior Video Producer to lead the charge for KISS and KISS XTRA. As part of a collaborative, fun, and forward-thinking team, you’ll be at the forefront of creating engaging social video content that boosts brand fame and drives audience engagement.

Purpose of the role: Taking a senior role in the creation, delivery and optimisation of compelling and exciting video for KISS and KISS XTRA. Working closely with the Head of Video and the KISS Social Lead you’ll become a brand ambassador, and an expert in producing video that represents the KISS vibes and values. You’ll create content that stands out on socials and aligns with our strategy to grow followers and engagement with video. Whether in the studio or on location, you’ll have an expert knowledge of video production and genuine passion for digital content.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Managing end to end production of KISS video content
- Overseeing technical capture of both audio and visuals
- Directing talent and crew
- Providing hands-on, technical leadership on cameras, lighting and sound
- Editing longform and short form video
- Reviewing KISS video content and working with the team to implement changes
- Conceptualising exciting and engaging video formats and managing these through every stage of production, with an emphasis on longform content
- Managing team schedules and production workflows, ensuring content opportunities are maximised and deadlines are met
- Assisting the KISS Social Media Lead with driving digital best practice
- Managing KISS and KISS XTRA YouTube channels
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to develop creative ideas
- Day to day management and personal/career development of direct reports
- Championing video at KISS and taking our content to the next level

The Ideal candidate:
  • Solid, senior level experience within professional social-first video production
    - Expert knowledge of camera, lighting and audio equipment
    - Confident self-shooter and director, with experience working with celebrity talent
    - Significant experience working with the Adobe suite. Proficiency in Premiere Pro is essential.
    - Social video expert – excellent understanding of digital content, the social media landscape and how KISS fits into this
    - Good knowledge of YouTube channel management and best practice
    - Calm, positive and patient people management skills
    - Proactive, committed, quick thinking and able to work calmly under pressure
    - Great attention to detail and commitment to high quality output
    - Analytical thinker with the ability to translate performance data and audience insights into developing video formats
    - Experienced manager of pre-production and post-production schedules
    - Strong communication skills
    - Good knowledge of media law and Ofcom compliance
    - Good awareness of Health and Safety requirements on shoots
