  • Must have current HCPC/NMC registration.

  • Post-graduate experience in Theatres is required.

Location: The Wellington Hospital, City of Westminster, London, NW8

Role: Senior Theatre Practitioner - Anaesthetics

Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: 4 or 5 days a week, occasional weekends

Contract: Permanent

Salary: Competitive + Shift Enhancements

Join our outstanding Theatre team at The Wellington Hospital (CQC rated Good). We are seeking a dynamic and committed professional with experience in cardiac cases to help us deliver exceptional patient care.

Our 13 theatres across 3 buildings support a wide range of specialties, underpinned by advanced equipment, technology, and a supportive team culture. This is a busy, fast-paced environment with theatres opening from 7:30am. Cases can be long, so flexibility is key, but you'll always be part of a strong, collaborative team.

  • Cross-training into scrub and recovery
  • Surgical First Assistant course

What you'll do:

  • Support the anaesthetist across all perioperative phases
  • Prepare, check, and manage anaesthetic equipment and drugs
  • Monitor and respond to patients' conditions during procedures
  • Act as a clinical leader and role model within the team
  • Support safe staffing, rota planning, and service improvement

What you'll bring:

  • Current HCPC/NMC Registration
  • Post-graduate experience in Theatres
  • 5 years' Anaesthetics experience (essential)
  • Anaesthetics course
