Senior Test Data & Analytics Specialist

Location: Gaydon, Warwickshire (Hybrid)
Contract: 12 month
Rate: Negotiable (DOE)

We're supporting a major UK-based engineering organisation with the search for a Senior Data Analytics Specialist to support software and systems testing programmes across multiple engineering domains.

This role sits at the intersection of engineering, testing and development, with a strong focus on ensuring the integrity, consistency and usability of testing data created within JIRA and visualised through Tableau.

You'll play a key role in transforming complex datasets into meaningful insight, supporting senior stakeholders with clear reporting and enabling data-driven decision making.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse software and systems testing data across multiple engineering domains
• Ensure data integrity, consistency and traceability within JIRA tooling
• Identify trends, patterns, anomalies and risks within testing datasets
• Prepare high-quality datasets for reporting and management insight
• Produce clear weekly reporting suitable for senior and top-level management
• Work closely with engineering and quality stakeholders to ensure metrics are accurate and aligned
• Interpret complex data to determine key messages and actions
• Support project planning through data-driven insights
• Coach and guide users on best practice around tooling, data cleanliness and consistency

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong background in data analytics within engineering or technical environments
• Experience working with JIRA-based datasets
• Strong reporting and data visualisation experience (Tableau preferred)
• Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insight
• Confident engaging with senior engineering and delivery stakeholders
• High attention to detail around data quality and governance
• Comfortable operating in fast-paced, multi-domain programmes
