ROLE OVERVIEW
The Quality Control Technologist is responsible for conducting laboratory-based quality assessments to ensure products meet the highest standards of safety, performance, and regulatory compliance. This role plays a key part in maintaining robust quality control processes and supporting product development activities through accurate testing and documentation.
Perform a range of laboratory quality checks to verify product conformity, using established methodologies and instrumentation.
Maintain strict control over testing accuracy and output quality, ensuring all activities align with internal R&D processes and standards.
Manage short- and long-term QC testing schedules, applying project management principles as needed.
Contribute effectively as part of a team, operating in alignment with company expectations for safety, quality, efficiency, and environmental responsibility.
Support laboratory operations through routine calibration and maintenance of scientific instruments.
Assist with formulation preparation and related laboratory tasks.
Follow all safety procedures, participate in job safety analysis, and maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
Uphold and contribute to the laboratory's ISO quality management system, including participation in audits.
Promote and adhere to Quality procedures and standards to help the business achieve consistent, high-level results.
Demonstrated hands‑on laboratory experience, with strong understanding of sample preparation and analytical techniques.
Technical curiosity and strong problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks based on business needs.
Competence in producing and reviewing technical documentation for compliance.
A proactive, team‑oriented mindset with a positive attitude and a focus on delivering results.
Degree‑level qualification in a relevant scientific discipline (e.g., Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biosciences, or related fields).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Contract Duration: Until end of November 2026
Pay Rate: £17.89 per hour (PAYE)
