  • Lead site-wide infrastructure strategy (highways, drainage, earthworks, utilities).
  • Oversee technical design, approvals and discharge of planning conditions.

Senior Technical Manager – Residential Infrastructure / Masterplanning
London (Hybrid)
£65,000 – £85,000 + Car Allowance + Package

A leading master developer delivering major residential communities is seeking an experienced Senior Technical Manager to oversee technical design, utilities and infrastructure delivery across several long-term developments (3,500–5,000 homes).

This role offers the chance to work at significant strategic scale, shaping large new communities from planning through to delivery.

Role Responsibilities
  • Lead site-wide infrastructure strategy (highways, drainage, earthworks, utilities).
  • Oversee technical design, approvals and discharge of planning conditions.
  • Manage consultant teams and coordinate with development, QS and PM teams.
  • Review and sign off S38/S104 agreements, infrastructure planning and technical designs.
  • Troubleshoot and de-risk issues affecting programme and delivery.
  • Develop and manage utilities strategies including iDNO/NAV, POCs and diversions.
Candidate Requirements
  • 15+ years’ experience in residential infrastructure or strategic land projects.
  • Strong technical background: highways, drainage, earthworks, utilities, transportation.
  • Good understanding of environmental inputs (ecology, archaeology, landscape).
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Confident navigating statutory processes and legal agreements.
