Overview

Job Title: Senior Technical Manager
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + car allowance & bonus
Location: Northamptonshire

Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor Technical Teams across multiple sites, overseeing training, performance, and development while ensuring consistency in standards.
  • Implement and maintain HACCP and Quality Management Systems (QMS) to meet regulatory, legal, and customer requirements across all locations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for customer technical queries, ensuring swift and effective resolution of issues.
  • Ensure all sites achieve and maintain high standards in BRC, and major retailer audits, leading the preparation and participation in these processes.
  • Work closely with site managers and cross-functional teams to align processes, improve quality, and meet shared objectives.
  • Collaborate with Sustainability Leads to address waste management, environmental compliance, and responsible sourcing across all locations.
  • Analyse performance metrics and monitoring results, implementing strategies to drive consistent improvements across all sites.
  • Partner with NPD teams to ensure the safety, quality, and compliance of new and existing products across the business.
  • Represent the business during customer site visits and factory tours, ensuring all sites are audit-ready and customer standards are consistently exceeded.
  • Play a key role in the senior management team, contributing to strategic decisions, KPI reporting, and long-term planning.
Qualifications
  • Food manufacturing experience is required
  • Being the main point of contact for major retailers
  • Able to demonstrate excellent team management across multiple sites
