Qualifications

• Competent in reviewing architectural, structural, and M&E design packages.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, review, and approve design and technical drawings for internal and external packages.
• Liaise closely with consultants, architects, and subcontractors to ensure design intent.
• Support the site team by resolving design-related queries during construction.

Skills

Job Title: Senior Design/Technical Coordinator

Salary: £300 - £350 per day

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Design/Technical Coordinator to join our high-performing team, working on a flagship residential development in Acton. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a pivotal role in delivering one of London's most anticipated residential projects.

You\'ll be working directly with a reputable 5-star residential developer, reporting to the Technical Manager, and taking the lead on reviewing and approving internal and external design packages throughout the build process.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate, review, and approve design and technical drawings for internal and external packages
• Liaise closely with consultants, architects, subcontractors, and internal departments to ensure design intent is met
• Ensure technical information is accurate, timely, and in line with project programme and regulatory requirements
• Support the site team by resolving design-related queries and technical issues during construction
• Maintain up-to-date records of approvals, RFIs, and revisions across all design packages
• Assist with buildability reviews, value engineering opportunities, and compliance with NHBC/Building Regulations

About You

• Proven experience in a Senior Design Coordinator or Technical Coordinator role within residential construction (developer or main contractor background preferred)
• Strong technical knowledge of high-density residential developments
• Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and planning requirements
• Competent in reviewing architectural, structural, and M&E design packages
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders
• Proactive, solution-focused, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
