Overview

Senior Support Worker - Children's Residential

Location: Northampton

Salary: £36,000 per annum (£29,080 base + approx. £6,000 sleep-ins)

Shift Pattern: 1 on / 2 off - 8:00am-11:00pm followed by sleep-in (24-hour shift total)

Responsibilities
  • Lead shifts and act as a role model for the staff team.
  • Support children and young people with their emotional, social, and educational needs.
  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment.
  • Assist with care planning, safeguarding, and incident reporting.
  • Promote independence and life skills in line with individual care plans.
  • Undertake sleep-in duties as part of the rota.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Childcare/Young People (essential).
  • Level 2 considered if currently working towards Level 3/4.
  • Minimum of 2 years' residential childcare experience.
  • Confident car driver (manual preferred) - comfortable with motorways and night driving.
  • Clean DBS and valid Right to Work in the UK.
