Role

We are looking for Senior Support Workers to join our Berkeley Gardens care home in Pemberton, Wigan. Berkeley Gardens is a specialist care home which provides person-centred, rehabilitative care services for people aged 18 years and above who may have mental health, complex needs and/or acquired brain injury. The job role is varied and includes leading shifts, supervising junior staff, dispensing medications, maintaining documentation, and ensuring residents have an excellent quality of life.

Responsibilities
  • Lead shifts and supervise junior staff across the site.
  • Dispense medications and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Support people living in the home with their rehabilitation plans and care plans.
  • Assist residents to access the community and participate in trips; contribute to a supportive environment that enables staff to complete their roles.
  • Work with a team of support workers, nurses, clinical leads and the home manager.
  • Take part in professional development; external Care Home Assistant Practitioner courses are available to senior staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Previous care experience is required.
  • We are recruiting for full-time Night Shifts, to include alternate weekends. Hours/shifts to be confirmed at interview.
