The property is a semi-detached house with 3 bedrooms, all of which are ensuite. There is a large kitchen and dining area. The lounge looks out into the garden. It has an office for staff administration and sleep in shifts. The location is close to the town centre which has shops and local amenities with easy access to public transport. Free parking is available which is a 5 minute walk from the home. The support we provide is 24 hours a day. The day time shifts begin at 07 : 00, with a handover to the afternoon staff at 14 : 00. The night support is a sleep in shift, which is carried out by 1 afternoon staff per day. The sleep in time is 22 : 00 – 07 : 00.

We support 3 gentlemen aged between 50 and 60. They have mild to moderate learning disabilities and autism. They do not have needs relating to mobility. One of the gentlemen we support has an inflammatory bowel disease which requires monitoring. Another has heightened anxiety which requires support and empathy along with a good understanding of anxiety disorders. All three gentlemen we support are able to communicate verbally and are able to understand verbal cues but require shorter sentences and information carrying words to be used.

Without correct support, they would not fully meet their needs independently. The gentlemen require verbal prompts with their personal care and require some support with personal hygiene and household cleaning tasks. They are able to prepare drinks for themselves and some snacks but require staff support / supervision with preparing meals using the oven. They require support to understand their emotions and manage their anxieties. Their positive behaviour support plans will guide you to do this.
