Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a care role, ideally supporting young people with complex needs or autism.
  • A full UK driving licence essential for supporting young people with transport.
  • Right to work in the UK (with at least 12 months remaining on your visa, if applicable).

Are you ready for a rewarding role where every day you make a real difference? We're looking for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at West Cross, supporting young people with complex needs associated with autism.

In this role, you'll play a key part in the day-to-day running of the home, helping to create a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where young people can thrive. You'll act as a positive role model for both staff and young people, encouraging independence, building confidence, and celebrating achievements along the way.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and support our staff team to deliver excellent care
  • Support young people’s emotional and physical wellbeing, including personal care
  • Encourage independence and act as a positive role model
  • Get involved in fun, active activities – from football and fishing to outdoor adventures
  • Support transport to and from school, appointments, and activities
  • Keep accurate records and help maintain a warm, welcoming home environment
  • Celebrate the achievements and progress of the young people you support
What You’ll Need
  • Previous experience in a care role, ideally supporting young people with complex needs or autism
  • A caring nature, resilience, and strong communication skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • A full UK driving licence – essential for supporting young people with transport
  • Right to work in the UK (with at least 12 months remaining on your visa, if applicable)
