A leading health care provider in Suffolk is seeking a motivated Senior Support Worker to facilitate daily needs for residents in a care home specializing in dementia. The successful candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care, proven experience in a care setting, and strong communication skills. The role offers an excellent salary of £13.60 per hour with additional benefits including a pension scheme and paid training.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents.
  • Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals.
  • Contribute to care planning and coaching support workers.
  • Promote services when dealing with relatives and prospective residents.
  • Update and write care plans and resident documentation.
  • Make and report realistic assessments of each resident.
  • Administer medication to the residents.

Overview

An exciting job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Senior Support Worker to work in an exceptional care home based in the Eye, Suffolk area. You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers. This special care home is a purpose built unit for residents who have dementia. It is a converted Victorian country house with accommodation.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position you must have an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent

Responsibilities
  • Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
  • Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
  • Contribute to care planning and coaching support workers
  • Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
  • Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
  • Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
  • Be responsible for administering medication to the residents in accordance with policies and procedures

  • Proven experience of working in a care setting

Salary and Benefits

The successful Senior Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £13.60 per hour and the annual salary is £25,459.20 per annum. We currently have permanent vacancies for both days and night shifts available.
