Qualifications

  • Complete a pre-employment Rail CAT 1 Medical.
  • Construction Induction Card required.
  • Safeworking experience/qualifications on the Arc Infrastructure network.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee two track machine teams on a schedule.

  • Manage night shifts as required.

About The Role

Due to a consistent forward work bank, we are looking for two Senior Supervisors to join our WA Rail Surfacing team. These roles will primarily be based in Southern WA with an anticipated 50/50 split between office-based tasks and field leadership presence.

Each Senior Supervisor will be engaged on a roster of 14 days on, 7 days off overseeing two track machine teams working on the same roster pattern. A further two teams will be managed by your counterpart on an offset roster pattern allowing for appropriate coverage during R&R periods. Night shift may be required on an ad-hoc basis for certain work scopes and shutdown operations.

The role will primarily work across the South-West regional rail network as well as some time supporting teams on the Perth urban passenger network and in the Pilbara when resurfacing works are required.

About You
  • 5+ years in a supervisory role within a rail or construction environment
  • Applicants must be able to complete a pre-employment Rail CAT 1 Medical
  • Construction Induction Card
  • Strong understanding and focus on safety
  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate closely with your colleagues to plan and allocate resources to maximise efficiency and outcomes for our clients
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Able to build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Desire to drive improvement and innovation in the way we operate, set a standard for high performance and develop your teams with the right combination of training and mentoring
  • Recent experience of working as a senior Rail Track Machine Operator/Supervisor
  • Plasser ALC system knowledge and computer experience
  • MR vehicle licence
  • Safeworking experience / qualifications on the Arc Infrastructure network
  • Cert II / Cert III in Rail Infrastructure
  • Frontline leadership training or similar
