Qualifications

• Strong structural design expertise using British Standards and Eurocodes.
• Degree-qualified (BEng or MEng) in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• Solid experience in designing reinforced concrete and steel structures.

Responsibilities

• Deliver design work and support on complex infrastructure schemes.
• Conduct Concept and Feasibility Studies for multidisciplinary design projects.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.

Job description

My client is looking for an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing team and take a leading role in delivering innovative, high-quality solutions across a wide range of major infrastructure projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Delivering design work, inspections, and construction site support on complex infrastructure schemes
• Undertaking Concept and Feasibility Studies for multidisciplinary design projects
• Carrying out structural analysis and design using tools such as Tekla, IDEA StatiCA, and TEDDS, as well as producing detailed hand calculations
• Preparing Calculations, CDM documentation, Basis of Design reports, Material Specifications, Scopes of Work, Technical Reports, and leading inter-discipline design coordination
• Supervising, assisting, and mentoring junior team members, supporting their technical and professional growth

What You’ll Need

• Strong structural design expertise using British Standards, Eurocodes, and international codes
• Degree-qualified (BEng or MEng) in Structural or Civil Engineering
• Proven experience preparing bids, proposals, and developing strong client relationships
• Solid experience in designing reinforced concrete and steel structures
• Knowledge of seismic, dynamic, or extreme environmental loading (desirable)
• Working knowledge of BIM workflows and software
