Our Bridge Design Teams are looking for highly motivated and technically strong Senior Structural Design Engineers to be involved in the delivery of challenging bridge design and maintenance schemes. We have a great team environment, and we support and develop our engineers, so they are continuously developing their skills.
Working in the Bridge Design Teams, you will take autonomy of your own work and be responsible for all aspects of the project whether this is a bridge assessment, maintenance, strengthening or replacement scheme. You should have a thorough understanding of structural behaviour and the application of relevant design and assessment standards. Knowledge of construction methods and contract procedures would be an advantage.
We are maintaining over 1750 structures of all types of structural form, from single or multi span brick arches to Grade II listed cast iron bridges as well as modern steel and reinforced concrete bridges and retaining walls. Future work will include inspection for assessment, structural assessments, strengthening and replacement schemes to ensure all our structures remain open to highway users and in a serviceable condition.
In addition, we provide technical support to external clients, developers, contractors, and other local authorities.
