As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Senior Stock Specialist to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth.

About The Role

This role will act as the bridge between the Executive Committee, central functions and the retail estate, ensuring fulfilment excellence is delivered consistently at every level of the business. The successful candidate will be a strategic influencer, shaping processes and systems, while also spending significant time in stores to embed best practice and drive operational ownership.

Key Responsibilities

Fulfilment Strategy & Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end digital fulfilment agenda across all channels.
  • Influence senior stakeholders (up to CEO level) and engage store teams to drive fulfilment accuracy.
  • Align fulfilment operations with broader business strategy.
  • Represent fulfilment performance in senior forums.

Performance Management & Insight

  • Lead KPI measurement and improvement, maintaining unfulfillment rates below target thresholds.
  • Deliver actionable insights through clear reporting and dashboards.
  • Build accountability across all levels of the business.

Operational Excellence & Store Engagement

  • Spend 23 days per week in stores, embedding best practice and driving ownership.
  • Champion stock integrity and customer-focused fulfilment behaviours.
  • Lead workshops and forums to ensure consistency and local engagement.

Systems & Process Development

  • Collaborate with IT, Supply Chain, and Operations to evolve fulfilment systems.
  • Drive simplification, automation, and optimisation of fulfilment processes.
  • Ensure system developments reflect operational realities.

Innovation & Future Growth

  • Shape future fulfilment models to meet evolving customer expectations.
  • Lead initiatives to improve speed, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Ensure new propositions are commercially and operationally viable.
Person Specification
Essential Experience & Skills
  • Senior-level experience in retail operations, fulfilment, or stock management.
  • Proven ability to influence across all levels from shop floor to Executive Committee.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Deep understanding of stock processes and fulfilment systems.
  • Advanced analytical skills (Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and strategic problem-solving abilities.
Desirable
  • Experience with Click and Collect or last-mile fulfilment at scale.
  • Background in multi-site retail leadership and digital transformation.
  • Familiarity with WMS, OMS, or ERP systems.
  • Experience leading change programmes.

Position: Permanent, Full-time

Hours: Monday Friday, 08:45am 17:30pm.

Location: Hybrid role - two to three days in the central office, two to three days travelling across stores to embed best practice and ensure fulfilment excellence. National travel required.
