  • Lead an allocated team of nurses & support workers
  • Ensure care & associated duties are allocated effectively & within team members' competence
  • Supervise junior staff & leading by example, teach & guide them
  • Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit & improve quality
  • Safeguard & promote the wellbeing of service users
  • Manage medication
  • Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with service users, relatives & other healthcare professionals
  • Be responsible for the co‑ordination, assessment, planning, implementation & evaluation of individual patient programmes of care. Experience as a Charge Nurse

  • Excellent people management skills & leadership qualities
  • Organisational skills and the ability to manage workloads
  • The ability to maintain documentation, undertake audits & demonstrate integrity in your role
  • Knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 & an understanding of the latest nursing practices
  • A commitment to patient recovery in order to effectively monitor, manage & reduce risk

  • The ability to act as a role model, demonstrating a positive attitude towards service users, their families, visitors & others. £23.42 Per Hour
